Drawing, coloring, and using art supplies and materials, are all so pleasurable, it’s too bad many people give them up early in life because they think they “can’t draw.” There are innumerable ways to enjoy color, art and design without being able to draw perfect bodies or buildings. (I sure can’t “draw” everything. I thought once of getting a business card that said Illustration by Loris Lesynski — I personally like drawing exercises, writing prompts, and coloring pages that allow improvisation within a specified format — I think they’re a good way to warm up, experiment, and learn new skills within a boundary, then move on to one’s own creative work. PIZZA FACE (from Nothing Beats A Pizza): You can see (left) the range of pizza faces that came from the pizza-face outline I always take on visits to schools. There have been hundreds more done by kids. They look really good taped up in a row going right around the classroom.
